RE: Dometic Recall - NO LONGER REPLACING COOLING UNIT

We had a Heartland Bighorn 3400RL back in early May 2008 and learned from the Heartland Owners' Forum that the extended Dometic recall did include our refer. We were in Fountain, CO for other repairs at Camping World so they ordered the shield and high temp relay switch and installed within 30 minutes at no charge. Great service staff! We have since traded for Heartland Landmark Augusta with the 14 CF Elite four-door refer. Hope it doesn't show up in any recall. Best wishes to those of you having trouble getting service.

RE: Fried Pies

The link below is for fried apple pies but also note on this website on the left hand side there are links to other types of fruited fried pies. Have fun. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Fried-Apple-Pies/Detail.aspx

RE: ready to jump into a 5er...

Check out Heartland's Cyclone toyhauler with rear door. Quite the luxury toyhauler. Buy a Heartland and come join the Rally fun. Check out the Heartland Owners' Forum (www.Heartlandowners.com and www.heartlandowners.org) where you can get lots of invaluable information before you buy. Very friendly, helpful and honest folks. Big plus - Heartland manufacturer stands fully behind their products. If you don't get dealer satisfaction after the sale (i.e., poor service), you can always go to Elkhart, IN to one of HL's repair shops to receive topnotch service during first year warranty period.

RE: Reasonably light weight fiver with king size bed

Rough2000 Highly recommend that you join the Heartland Owners' forum at www.heartlandowners.org. There you can perform searches on key words for threads pertaining to your particular inquiries. You can even start a new thread under the Bighorn section. Lots of information there and great folks to help you plus input from the factory. Sight is monitored by HL owners who know what they are talking about to help you. My husband thinks you could go up to a Bighorn 3400. Recommend you also do your research on finding a dealer other than central AR. Email me if you want additional information. Good luck and hope to see you on the forum soon. Our Rallies are really fun!!
